Recent Projects

Mental Health Weekends
March 2023 - Now!

We are super excited by the school’s support of mental health weekends. Students have found them to be super helpful, allowing them to recharge and spend time doing activities that are meaningful to them. We have helped to promote these weekends, and we recently put together a brief video for teachers, showing them how impactful these weekends are. We also are super grateful for the schools efforts to bring in Cooper, a service dog! We knew the students would love this, and so far it has been a wonderful opportunity.

Lunch Rescue Initiative
March 2024

We are excited to be partnering with The Lunch Rescue Initiative, an organization started by a CNS senior, Thomas, to combat food waste and hunger in the Jamesville Dewitt community. Instead of throwing out unwanted items like whole fruits, juices, and applesauces, place them in the bins located in either cafeteria. At the end of every week, the food will be transported to Jamesville Food Pantry. Help us make a difference!

The Constitution
Sept. 2021 - Jun. 2023

Members of the student body and current student government representatives collaborated in a two-year process to create a new Constitution for JDHS. The goal was to make the Student Government more equitable and diverse, while finding ways to increase involvement and communication with all students.

Mascot
Apr. 2023

In an effort to increase school spirit, Jamesville Dewitt High School recently purchased a new Red Ram mascot to represent our pride. The mascot will attend sporting events and other school activities and serve as a symbol for the spirit of JD.

JD Day
May 26th, 2023

As part of tradition, Student Government hosted the annual "JD Day" event and it was a huge success. Clubs were able to raise funds selling great food and students were able to connect with others and enjoy activities like bounce houses and the dunk tank. Thanks to all the teachers who volunteered to get dunked!
